China’s exports to Asia (excluding East Asia) grew at a CAGR of 16.7% from 2001 to 2023, reaching $970 billion, nearly matching the $1,000 billion combined exports to the United States and the European Union. In 2023, China’s imports from Asia (excluding East Asia) were $790 billion, 76% higher than its combined imports from the United States and the European Union.
