U.S. Share of GDP (PPP) Rises Among Advanced Economies, Declines Globally

According to IMF data, the U.S. share of GDP (PPP) among advanced economies increased from 35% in the mid-1980s to 38% in 2024. In contrast, the U.S. share of global GDP (PPP) declined from 22% to 16% over the same period.
